Hon. Andrew McNamara MP | Queensland Minister for Sustainability and Innovation
The Honourable Andrew McNamara is the Minister for Sustainability, Climate Change and Innovation in the Queensland Government. As the Member for Hervey Bay since 2001 and a Parliamentary Secretary prior to becoming a Minister, Andrew has spoken often of the potential problems from the world’s reliance on fossil fuels, and is recognised as one of Australia’s leading advocates on the likelihood of peaking world oil supplies.


Petrea Bradford | Carbon Markets Manager, Origin Energy
Petrea Bradford is a respected and recognised leader in the Australian carbon market. Petrea joined Origin Energy as an Environmental Engineer in 1998 and now manages one of Australia’s largest carbon trading portfolios and a team of 12 professionals working across strategy, policy, trading, accreditation and product development. Petrea is dedicated to building the business case for early action on climate change. Beyond the scope of her role, Petrea has played an integral part in driving Origin’s sustainability agenda and influencing
Origin’s environment strategy, particularly the need for a broad carbon management strategy.


Martijn Wilder | Partner and Global Head Climate Change, Baker & McKenzie
Martijn Wilder is a partner and head of Baker & McKenzie's global climate change and emissions trading practice (with over 50 lawyers across the world). He is regarded as the one the world's leading carbon lawyers, having worked in the area for over 12 years representing an international client base. Martijn has worked with the Australian Greenhouse Office; the NSW, Victorian and New Zealand governments as well as the European Commission. He is also retained as the lead external counsel to the World Bank’s Carbon Finance business, the European Carbon Fund, the Japanese Carbon Fund and the Asian Development Bank’s Asia Pacific Carbon Fund. Martijn has been a principal player in some of the largest carbon trades in the world, including representing the World Bank umbrella fund the largest Clean Development Mechanism deal to date worth over US $930 million.
