Wildlife Bayside are celebrating Threatened Species Day with a presentation on Sensational Sea Turtles. Our guest speaker will be Fiona Maxwell and her presentation will cover a wide range of interesting facts including where they spend most of their lives, food preferences, breeding and threats as well as insights from Fiona’s own research experiences. The emphasis will be on the turtles who visit Moreton Bay. We are very fortunate here in SEQ to have Moreton Bay on our doorstep and to have such a large variety of turtles visiting. Fiona studied at Griffith University majoring in Marine biology and Wildlife biology before heading off to Western Australia where she completed her honours project on sea turtles. She is currently the Community Consultation Officer for WPSQ. *WHEN* - Saturday 6 September 2008 *TIME* - 10am to 12noon *VENUE* – Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, 17 Runnymede Road, Capalaba |
