Our unique biodiversity and ecosystems are under great threat from the potential speed of climate change.

The innovative conference 'Saving a Sunburnt Country the challenges of species adaptation in a heating land' on the 12 & 13 November, 2008 in Sydney will explore the latest research on climate change, assess the threats to species and humans from the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem processes under higher temperatures and other changes, look at the challenges of assisting mitigation and adaptation, and discuss how communities and government can further contribute to protecting biodiversity and ecosystems.
